Arwana Official

ABOUT

Arwana is a band founded by three musicians namely Hendri Lamiri (Violin), Yudie Chaniago, and Yan Machmud got together to form a band with the name X-Bart.

They are cafe musicians from West Kalimantan (Pontianak). This sense of regional unity made them serious about pursuing the world of music by looking for musicians from Pontianak. Finally a complete formation was formed in the X-Bart band with personnel Yudie Chaniago (vocals & drums), Hendri Lamiri (vocals & violin), Yan Machmud (lead vocals & acoustic), Wansyah Fadli (vocals & guitar), Delsi (keyboard) and Nono (bass). X-Bart brought Top 40 songs and performed from cafe to cafe in Jakarta and first performed at the News Cafe. In 1995, X-Bart changed their name to Nacle Band. The concept of music is still the same, namely bringing the Top 40 from cafe to cafe.

Support for these musicians was very strong among senior Indonesian musicians at that time. Many senior musicians encouraged Nacle Band to enter the recording studio. Finally in 1996, Nacle Band mastered 10 songs and recorded at GIN Studio (a gathering place for musicians mainly). The recording process was assisted by many senior musicians such as Billy J. Budiarjo, Dian Pramana Putra and so on.
